Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  We actually had our dinner on Saturday when my brother and his family could be here but still had a big spread yesterday.  This year we had salmon instead of turkey courtesy of Costco.  I personally prefer salmon or ham over turkey.  

I've been feeling sick since Monday and of course I had already scheduled off Wednesday and Friday.  Oh well, it's been a lot of lounging around the house and cleaning my apartment.  Plus having people over.  I've got to catch up on my blog reading.

boots

So here is a picture of some boots I saw that I liked. They are made by Sofft (a shoe company that makes comfy and cute shoes). Price: $160

Then I went to Target and saw these ones for only 39.99 and they are very similar...I like the color better too. I usually wear size 10 shoes but these boots are made kind of big so I fit in a size 9. Yay for Target! They are comfortable too, and hopefully will last long.




I still have a lot of dress boots that I bought a few years ago that I really never wear. I am debating if I should sell them on ebay. That is why it is good to clean out your closet because if you haven't had a good reason to wear something in the last 2 years, maybe it is time to donate it or ebay it.

I leave Florida to go home tonight...wish I could stay here a few more days.  The weather is lovely, as usual.

This is Pass-A-Grille beach in St. Petersburg.  I think I have gained 10 pounds this trip and I've only been here two nights.  Must be all that chocolate! 

new winter coats

Here are my two new winter coats. I had a magenta long wool coat I wore in the past that looks a bit like the first picture but moths ate lots of holes in it. These are both J. Crew outlet/overstock so I did not have to pay the retail price which would of been over $600 total.

How can anyone pay $300 for a coat? I guess if you have lots of money...or buy it with the intention to wear it for many years. I like this classic look and they look more feminine than those puffy ski jackets.

November the 3rd

So today is the day of my birth :) I even received a chipotle gift card, I mean what else could I ask for? I love burrito bowls!!

The other night I was driving home late at night and I kept seeing a stray cat here and there run across the road. Then a raccoon ran across right in front of me and I swerved to avoid it and ended up swerving all over the road! Yikes! Thankfully there were other cars on the road because I am pretty sure I would of hit them head on and that would of been the end of me.

Anyways I am really looking forward to going away this weekend, did I already say that...yippee
